Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Finox ("the Service"), you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. Your use of the Service must comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.

2. Description of Service

Finox is a personal finance tracking tool that allows you to manually record and monitor income, expenses, budgets, savings goals, debts, investments, and account balances. Finox is a manual-entry only tool — it does not connect to, access, or integrate with your bank accounts, credit card accounts, or any financial institutions. Finox does not process any financial transactions on your behalf.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating your account. You agree to keep this information up to date.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@finox.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3.3 One Account Per Person

Each person may register only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent subscription limits or other restrictions is prohibited.

4. Subscription and Payments

4.1 Free Trial

New users receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start your trial.

4.2 Subscription Plans

After the free trial, continued access requires an active subscription. Current pricing:

• Monthly plan: $4.99 per month
• Annual plan: $39.99 per year ($3.33/month)

Prices listed are exclusive of applicable taxes. Depending on your location, VAT, GST, or other local sales taxes may be added at checkout. Tax is calculated, collected, and remitted by our payment processor on our behalf in compliance with applicable local laws. The final tax-inclusive price will be displayed before you confirm payment.

4.3 Billing

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings. Upon cancellation:

• You retain access to the Service until the end of the current billing period
• No refund is issued for unused time in the current billing period
• Your data is retained for 30 days after expiry, then permanently deleted

4.5 Refund Policy

We offer a full refund within 7 days of your first paid subscription payment. After 7 days, payments are non-refundable. To request a refund, contact support@finox.app.

4.6 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of any price changes via email. Continued use of the Service after the price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Use

Finox is licensed for personal, non-commercial use only. You may use the Service to track your own personal finances.

5.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Attempt unauthorized access to any part of the Service, its servers, or related systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Transmit any malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without our express written consent
• Share your account credentials with any other person

6. Your Data

6.1 Ownership

You own all financial data and content you enter into Finox. We make no claim of ownership over your data.

6.2 License to Us

By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your data solely as necessary to provide the Service to you. We do not use your financial data for any other purpose.

6.3 Data Accuracy

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of data you enter into the Service. Finox displays information based on what you input — we are not responsible for errors arising from inaccurate data entry.

6.4 Export and Deletion

You may export your data or delete your account and all associated data at any time via your account settings.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Ownership of the Service

The Service, including its design, software, trademarks, and content (excluding your data), is owned by Finox and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

7.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

7.3 Feedback

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you.

8. Disclaimers

8.1 Not Financial Advice

8.2 "As Is" Service

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

8.3 Data Entry Errors

We are not responsible for inaccuracies in your financial records resulting from incorrect data entry, user error, or misinterpretation of data displayed in the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Finox and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Finox and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the applicable jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also have recourse to your local courts under applicable consumer protection law.

12. Termination

12.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time via Settings → Danger Zone. All your data will be permanently deleted upon termination.

12.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or if required to do so by law. In such cases, you will not be entitled to a refund of any prepaid subscription fees.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For significant changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the new Terms take effect. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page reflects when the Terms were last updated. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Miscellaneous

14.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Finox regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.

14.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

14.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

14.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.
